Hi everyone. Our Paper 2 topic is Authoritarian States. We studied Mao, Hitler, and Mussolini. Questions usually ask you to evaluate or compare and contrast the factors that led to their emergence (rise to power), their methods in coming to power, consolidating it, and maintaining it, as well as the aims and results of their domestic policies.
Be very careful to understand what the question is asking and pay attention to what events would be relevant to write about as part of your argument.
I forgot to mention that I copied an interesting section out of a textbook I have that compares Maoism, Nazism, and Stalinism. It’s a good read for comparing and contrasting the aspects of these regimes that P2 likes to ask about.
